40 degrees and a little windy. Visited during coronavirus lockdown. Lots of people running. The kids liked running around all the random trails.

Very windy and cold on the windward side. Beautiful and sunny on the leeward side. Is just a path, not really a hike.

I loved bringing my dog here off season until it closed due to raccoons. It was fun having the option of having her play in the water. This place can get extremely busy during weekends or nice weather off season.

Beautiful peaceful trail with egrets and water views. But the entrance fee of $35 per car plus $7 per person and the requirement that the pass be purchased on weekdays at the town hall, make it inaccessible for many people. Which is just want the Town of Greenwich wants. This is crying for a court challenge.

Very disappointed to have driven 90 minutes to get there and find that without a pass we could not use the trail. We were told it was only for those who lived in the neighborhood. Moreover, no dogs were allowed.

For most of the year the trail is open only to pass holders or paying guests who are with pass holders. For me, this is Greenwich’s saving grace. I walk the trail almost every day and you can’t beat the sunset and sunrise views. Also a great view of Manhattan. Trails are super leisurely so don’t expect a workout unless you are jogging. Also gets very crowded in the summer through late fall. But all year ‘round it is stunning.

Very popular regardless of the season. No local permit during the “off months” , after oct . Enjoyable stroll but you don’t really get away from it all.
