The Narragansett Trail from Tom Wheeler Road is a 3.8 mile out and back trail located near Voluntown, Connecticut that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking.
The Narragansett Trail does not disappoint. A bit rocky and a bit muddy in places with multiple stream crossings and several waterfalls.
February 13, 2021Very nice hike up the ravine to the dam along the blue blaze trail. The snow was pretty deep so our place was way off. We had planned on going all the way around the pond but the light was fading faster than we liked so we headed back. All and all a nice way to spend a cloudy winter day.
January 23, 2021Trailhead is difficult to find. You have to take Sand Hill Road the other end of Tom Wheeler Road is private. Not much parking. Look for blue blazed trail. Trail is pretty. Lots of rocks but also some small waterfalls. Leads into Green Falls Pond. Worth the effort!
