We took. the gravel road to the white trail headed to the. white trail pinnacle. Great views at the top, Then from white trail to blue then back. Moderate with steep rocky inclines. Good cardio.

Nice state park with lots of trail options. I hike with my 5 year old and have to be careful not to over do it on hot summer days. We stayed on the white trail until the gravel road. White was pretty rocky (realized the entire park is quite rocky). Then we went up the road for a few minutes until we hit the blue trail. From the gravel road we took the blue to the top of the giants head. Very difficult due to big rocks and rock scrambles. My 5 year old did OK with it but it really pushed both of us. It was like climbing a ladder in some parts but fun. We tracked back to the gravel road and took it up to the tower. Lots of people on the gravel road and quite a few on the other trails for a Monday. Tower's upper floors are closed now. Plenty of trails to take all over the park and the gravel road is great if you get tired and need an easy walk back. Especially for a 5 year old after going on the blue!

A little confused by the 5.4 miles. If we did this out and back I think it would be 10 miles! ( are out and backs measured one way) Lots of different options for all levels. We climbed hand and foot up a lot of huge boulders. Great views!!! Very crowded in lot but you can pick trails where you won’t see a soul!

First to Review

A little less challenging than the SG blue trail, but still a fairly strenuous and scenic hike. There are a decent amount of uphill rock climbs and being an O&B could be dangerous on your way back. There are a few intersections along the way and one at the very end of the first stop before you turn back so you can catch an easier trail (Orange I believe) on the way back. Overall a solid hike with some beautiful views!
