Would consider the climbing hard, not moderate. Wouldn’t bring kids nor pets.

Not for beginners! Great trail for rock scrambling and some great views at lookouts along the way. Some challenging areas but very rewarding. Well marked.

awsome trail. I would go counter clockwise a little easier going up then have to be going down from the opposite direction.

It was hard! Lots of vertical climbing. We didn’t finish the whole thing. We stopped at the Tower and took the tower path back down. It’s a great park. Very well marked trails.

Literally scaling the side of the mountain and its rocky. Lost my favorite pink patriots hat that I have had for over 20 years so if anyone finds it, my name is Heather Todd on facebook. thanks!

Excellent hike, definitely some points that require all 4 limbs but nothing too crazy. Can come down other trails besides the tower trail for a more active descent.

Wish I would have started counter clockwise. It got super steep on the climb down and was rough for me and my pup. I was worried about her safety. I think it would have been much better to climb up it versus trying to scramble down. A great challenging climb with great views! I also lost the trail once or twice.

Hiked the blue trail from the lot to the tower trail. The 1st 6/10ths are scaling up the edge of the wall. Not quite rock climbing but more than a scramble. Nice challenging tail in that section with nice views. The tower trail is merely a gravel road. The tower is interesting & you can see LI Sound from there. Blue Trail down from the tower till it intersects the tower trail the 2nd rooms is more interesting, then tower to lot. All in all a nice hike.

Trail was steep at first with some slippery dirt areas then turned really fun with lots of rock scrambling and climbing to the top. Trail is definitely not for beginners. There were so many beautiful views. Blue trail intersects with Tower trail that is wide and gravel and not steep at at...a gradual decline, you can go up to tower or down to parking area.

The blue trail piece is rock climbing. Do NOT hike alone. I have hiked many places and never been so scared. Experienced hiker and apparently now a novice rock climber. Not child friendly. Adults with friends. Gave it four stars though because it was amazing but never would have done it had I realized the rock climbing (not scrambling that was there too but no big deal).
