Great trail for long walks. Well shaded and easy to follow. The Map displayed is much shorter than the path. Easy to go off trail and not get lost.

Brutal- lake rd is closed right now so there is a detour. Hard to know where the trail goes... ends up in a hilly neighborhood. Tough for biking but if you like paved roads in a neighborhood to walk on this trail is for you.

A nice walk and not crowded. Try if you are in the area but I would not go much out of my way to drive here. You can easily add some distance as the trail continues beyond this map but the whole trail is out and back.

Boring. The return section of the loop was on a street. Felt like I was walking in a large backyard for lots of McMansions. Great for the neighborhood, but don't go out of your way.

WINDERFUL TRAIL. WIDE ENOUGH. BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS. JUST ENOUGH ELEVATION FOR A SMALL CHALLENGE.

I started on the Shelton Rec Path but I missed the white trail going g back down to the path from the power lines and ended up on Indepence. After that I just made my own way. Shelton Rec Path is good for a nice walk but I would t consider it a hike.

Attractive, well maintained trail of packed soil and crushed stone. Winding with mild to moderate grades in some areas.  Lightly trafficked on this early spring afternoon.  Occasionally intersects neighborhood streets or passes by homes. Overall, very nice for easy going trail run.

Beautiful trail in my home town. Trail details kind of incorrect. Paved trail with gravel one way is about 4 miles. Rough pavement is ~14 miles. Half the gravel trail has houses around, which is kind of safe for family with kids. I will not suggest road and hybrid bike here.

Beautiful, quiet, superbly maintained. Varied ecosystems and wildlife. You can use the handicapped access trails (wide gravel) or the rougher unimproved trails. The footing is great on the gravel trails, but the rougher trails are less traveled. My dog and I walk there a few times a week and always see something new and wonderful.

This trail is awesome, very challenging for trail running, but I enjoy that challenge, its a very scenic run in some areas of the trail, especially when you get close to the back side of the reservoir near the dog park in Shelton.
