A small loop around shadow lake. The trail starts next to the parking lot and crosses a small stream. Bridges were recently renovated along multiple muddy portions of the trail. There are picnic benches located on the small peninsula along the west side of the lake. Total time to completion is around 15 minutes and the difficulty of the trail is very easy but some portions may become muddy or flooded due to the abundance of wetland habitat surrounding the trail.

A gorgeous short hike around a hidden lake. Perfect if you have small children. Highlight for us was the narrow peninsula out into the lake, with a few picnic tables.
