The River Trail in New Milford, CT is a 5 mile one way or 10 mile out and back trail. The trail begins at the entrance of Sega Meadows Park on Boardman Road and continues through the park to River Road, where it follows the road and the Housatonic River to the center of the Gaylordsville section of New Milford. The park trail is a mix of soil and crushed gravel. River Road is unpaved and is mostly dirt and crushed gravel. The walk itself is easy, but wear comfortable shoes because the crushed gravel is not the most ideal walking surface.
