I travel this road every day on my lunch break.. Beautiful scenery, it runs along the Groton side of the river and is a great shortcut to get around all the downtown mystic and drawbridge traffic. There are a few pull offs for parking, fishing, boat and kayak launching, or just to relax.. If you decide to drive, be extremely careful as this road is packed with joggers and bicyclists that are usually on the incorrect side of the road.
