From parking area on Lake St go east to north end of Risley Pond, cross stream and turn right on the blue blazed trail. Hike south along east side of the pond to the dam, at the pond's south end. Turn left and head east up the ridge, hiking the blue blazed trail in the CCW direction. Bear left at top of the ridge and proceed north towards Box Mountain and communications tower. Trail turns west heading back down the ridge to north end of Risley Pond and return to parking lot.

Good 1/1.5 hour trail. Little bit of elevation mixed in with half flat but rough terrain. About 1/5th you’re walking along the pond, though some views obstructed. Good amount of parking

Nice, quiet and beautiful hike, other than one steep small hill I would label this blue loop as an easy hike. Extremely light foot traffic, very well marked trails, a couple fisherman on banks of beautiful reservoir which the trail does include an on top of view of, will definitely do again but again would say easy not moderate.
