From parking area on Lake St go east to north end of Risley Pond, cross stream and turn right on the blue blazed trail. Hike south along east side of the pond to the dam, at the pond's south end. Turn left and head east up the ridge, hiking the blue blazed trail in the CCW direction. Bear left at top of the ridge and proceed north towards Box Mountain and communications tower. Trail turns west heading back down the ridge to north end of Risley Pond and return to parking lot.

Scenic trail in the woods (nice and shady). Trail markings (blue blaze) are in excellent shape - easy to follow even if you run it. Sections of the trail require technical footwork with roots and rocks.
