As of July 17 the trail has a sign stating that it is closed. Hiked it anyway. Most of it has been cleared by the mountain bikers who use the trail system there (according to a guy we saw leaving the trail on his bike). There were MANY trees down from the May tornadoes. One section of the loop (white blazes) was completely blocked in spots requiring some bushwhacking to make forward progress. Some of the trail has been diverted and re-blazed with ribbons. Still beautiful. Very rugged. Watch for widow makers on windy days.
