Very pleasant and scenic trail. A little muddy after the rain so hiking boots are recommended

Kinda went completely off the trail. Started going the way I thought was right following the map, turns out I was wrong! Still did over 4 miles on a trail half marked with dark blue. Very pretty place! Haven’t been in a few years was nice to go back. I’d go back again and try a different trial. A great workout. Tons of uphill.

As others stated, lots of extended ups and downs to give you a work out. Narrow trail, easy to follow with map, but the forest views are pretty consistent, not much variety. At one point you are high in elevation and there are probably great views in the winter with no leaves on the trees.

Nice hike! Two hills are a workout, a few pretty streams with bridges. Blue trail was well marked- lots of intersecting trails but follow the markers and you’ll be fine

Hiked this a week ago, taking the Blue/Yellow Crossover Trail by mistake. Doing the entire loop today made a big difference in my opinion of it. This is an excellent trail. Very well maintained and clearly marked. After rain there may be a few muddy spots, but they're not show-stoppers. There are several excellent footbridges. The trail has a wonderful mix of challenges, including fairly flat walking, some really steep areas, rocks that a firmly embedded and that don't move underfoot, delightful streams, and minimal road walking. AllTrails does not show the Blue/Yellow Crossover trail, which reduces the mileage significantly and totally bypasses the challenges of Nickerson Hill and Browns Hill. For the full experience, stay on the Blue-blazed trail. There are several other trails that branch off, including a Blue/Green one. Just stay on the Blue trail. There were a lot of bugs at the trailhead and a few at the summit of Nickerson Hill when we stopped for lunch.

Hiked trail taking Blue/Yellow Crossover tail in error. GPS was not working reliably (had phone set to save battery when AllTrails was not being used, not knowing that the phone did not consider GPS tracking to be "in use" until half-way through the hike. Consequently, the route was shortened as shown in the recording. All in all, it was a good hike, although I was bummed at not getting the full distance in. Will have to return, because this trail has a lot of promise.

Awesome trail with challenging inclines. Very well marked. There is a trail closed sign near trail head but it seemed to me that it is not for this trail but another one that heads straight out, maybe an atv trail?
