From the Millers Pond parking lot, head toward the pond and then pick up the red blazes on your left. Nobody went crazy wasting a lot of paint on the blazes, so you might have to search around a bit in a couple of places. The terrain is a jumble of ledges, with poor tread in places. The trail was set up for mountain biking although many of the features have fallen into disrepair. As such, it weaves around a lot and picks up most of the available high points as it takes a circuitous path around the pond. The geology is interesting. Aside from that, the surroundings were pleasant enough but no views or waterfalls.

This red trail loop is longer than 4.1 miles. We did just under 5 miles, and we cut off the 'boot' at the bottom of the map. Loved this trail though - definitely geared to mountain biking too - but rocky and so much mountain laurel. Cannot wait to go back in June when it's in bloom. Also, did not see another human the whole way - only in the parking lot! Great hike!

Excellent mountainbike specific trail. Very difficult. If not very skilled do not go alone.
