great hike. challenging with lots of beautiful views. trails are well maintained and blazed well. the sheer amount of trash was discouraging though: masks, bags of dog shit and toilet paper EVERYWHERE.

Beautiful winter day. Ledge views. Clearly marked trail, although we never saw orange markers only blue and yellow. We added the hike to Hublein tower across the street.

Great moderate trail. Both directions have their charms, so consider doing the whole thing (I took a shortcut in the middle).

The blue blaze portion of this was the hardest "moderate" trail I've ever done, especially the part past the lake. The orange blaze section was very easy, and the yellow blaze section was a normal moderate. Leaves made parts of the trail pretty slippery. I would not recommend this trail for beginners or in wet conditions. The trails were well marked and easy to follow. Great challenging hike!

Great local spot. I always take the Yellow blaze trail to Lake Louise as its offers partial views along the way. Relatively flat trail, but does have some roots and rocks in sections. Watch out for the occasional mountain biker as they're hard to spot in the narrow sections. From there hook onto the Metacomet trail and after a short ascent there is a nice overlook to the left.

Solid hike not too hard at all. Only a few decent view spots. The blazes on the trail could use some repainting.

I have to say this to start. The metacomet trail to orange to yellow trail is not 6 miles! The loop was over 7.5 miles. Other than the description being wrong, The only other thing that I thought wasn't up to par was the lack of blaze marks on the yellow trail. There were some strikingly nice overlooks. I would say the trail is more of an easy with a few tough spots. The trail was mostly rolling with some rocks and roots but not particularly tough. I would go back and enjoy it more next time now that I know how long it actually it.

Beautiful day! Yellow trail could use a few more flares but man it was gorgeous. Quite a few people, most did a good job with masks/social distancing, too.

Nice trail. Brought four kids ages 8-12. I personally agree with moderate rating. There is a steep rock climb at one point, a small part along a cliff, and overall a lovely hike. The first half, the metacomb blue trail, was fairly up and down with hills. Shade is awesome and I liked doing the orange-yellow trail which had less hills and was easier for the second half. Would like to come back as they are more lookouts and many paths to go. Ended up being 7 miles.

Absolutely loved it. From walking the edge of the cliff to the view of Heublein tower. Awesome. If you want the first half to be the warm-up go clockwise and start w yellow. If you want to burn your legs right away go counter clockwise and start on blue/Metacomet.

Good ups and downs for a nice workout- saw several frogs and snakes which was cool. Parts of it are very muddy.
