It is a very cold winter day, I will be returning in warmer weather . There was a lot of ice today and the trails weren’t marked that well, went off the trail a bit. Didn’t get too far into the trail but the views we did get to see were nice .

This was a very enjoyable trail with spectacular views of the rocks and cliffs. Some of the trails do go near the edges of the cliffs but there is an alternate trail right behind most of them a few more feet in. Definitely looking forward to visiting again.

Easily one of my favorite local hikes, I've returned to this trail time and again over the years. It's an in and out trail so you need only go as far as you feel on any particular day. Great views from the top and many places from which to relax and enjoy them!

Fun Hike. Wish there was a loop to make of it though. Next time Might come through the Higby Road trail-head though. From the Higby Road lot, there is a Red/Blue trail that will take you to the blue trail.

Gorgeous views! If you hear gun shots, don't be alarmed, apparently the police shooting range is near the trail and you can see it from the top!

Beware of salamanders! And ten thousand slippery rocks! Deer, wild turkeys and salamanders. Some nice scenic vistas...some powerlines and a shooting range below. would like to have connected with the mattabassett that's by black pond...too busy with traffic at crossing 66

A nice patch of woods in a semi-industrial area. See my full write up which includes directions and other things to look out for.

Very nice views from the top, a few short scrambles, quite a few spots where the trail is 1-2 ft from sheer drop so caution etc

definitely good for a view. alot of vertical climbing and rocks to make your way through. didn't find any landmarks. I like to hike to a location, and explore old historical places if the hike allows. Was proud to summit after the effort though!

A decent workout. A little bit of scrambling from time to time. The effort is well worth it, with some amazing panoramic views at the top of the mountain about three-quarters of a mile into the trail.

Love this hike. Good workout climb to a fantastic view. There's a few peaks with pretty overlooks. On a good rainy spring there's a beautiful waterfall. If doing the whole hike this trail leads to the Chauncey peak hike off country club road in Middletown. It's a great workout hike.

Cool trail! Lots of ups and downs! Watch out for loose rocks and bees but still awesome. Bring deep
Woods bug spray for sure

Really enjoyed this trail. Great climbs from the start which are also fun to end with. As I got away from the ledges and into the woods, I found it just as beautiful. Followed the trail to the "T" of you will. Going left on the "T" wasn't impressive but going to the right was fantastic. Wild blueberries and a pair of owls to have lunch with. :)
