Definitely not the quietest trail given how close you are to the main road but the scenery makes up for it in so many ways. My only wish would he for people to respect the signs that indicate which trails are not meant for running.

Parking sort of, for one car. Trail is maintained to a certain point then it disappears. Drown yourself in deep woods off, mosquitoes are beyond intense down be the salt marsh.

This was a good hike with lots of different trails and pretty scenery! The only negatives are parking not at entrance, and trails could be marked more often.

Surpringly good trail! Mostly used by Connecticut College for educational purposes, there are a great many different types of saltwater birds to be heard and seen along the way. Bird calls you’ve never heard before. Located near the mouth of the Thames, you can see the submarines across the river in Groton at the Navy Base from the top of Mamacoke Hill. One must cross an area of marsh to get there. Wear waterproof shoes or boots for wetter seasons.
