Road to lookout was maintained. The trails are still blocked by fallen trees. In some spots you are force to crawl beneath several downed trees. Someone need to go up there with a chainsaw for a day. I have been on countless trails in the last few months and this in is by far the worst maintained.

Not the wussy little trail I assumed. You go up the hill and can either just do halfway up or the straight up hike to the top. Gorgeous views.

A lovely hike on a cool day. Lots of damp down leaves made it a bit slippery but the yellow leaves were worth it. There were many fallen jumbled trees but the kids LOVED going under and over them.

Nice little trail but a LOT of down trees right now, scrambling, and wet slippery leaves.

Great trail, taking the blue trail up leads to a lot of downed trees, needed the app for some parts but worth it for the views!

Nice views, but tree damage makes it hard to stay on path. Many people on the main path, loop relatively empty.

It was a nice trail with great views. A nice fall hike. Well marked blue and gold trail, but the left toward the silek factory wasn’t well marked but the ruins were cool!

Short little hike. About 55min. Lunchtime hike. Would have been five stars if it weren’t for the fallen trees at the top of the loop. You have to improvise a bit.

Really nice trails. LOTS of trees down from previous storms, which made it quite a fun adventure! Not a ton of views, but it's still a good hike!

Parking lot was busy but only saw one other group once I got past the bridge and viewpoint. A bit overgrown with raspberries, would recommend long pants or a trekking pole to get them out of the way. Views were okay.

This is a nice and varied hike through both sets of blues, three short out and backs and a couple loops. I started over the bridge and hit lovers Leap, the lake hook and then the third O/B goes to the road w not much to see - skip it if you don’t want the extra hill . Then the beautiful blue loop w farm view on the far side, coming back for a casual loop around that is partially unmarked but runs parallel to the parking lot, finishing that portion out to the bridge view and jaunt through the old structures. Last is the closer double loops that have a second view looking AT lovers Leap and another beautiful farmhouse view combining the blue and yellow trails, finishing on a little swoop of the blue near the upper side of the parking lot.

The obvious focal point is the bridge. After crossing it, the climb to the top isn’t steep, but is consistent. In a way this trail is basically 3 out and backs packed into 1 walk, so you cover a lot of repeated trail. There’s a couple really great outlooks, and the walk down to the water is peaceful.

Beautiful and some different scenery to what we’ve hiked in Fairfield County. Need to watch some of the drops with kids but otherwise in good shape for them to do. We found it hard to navigate where we were going given several forks along the way that didn’t appear on the trail or state park maps. (Recording via this app helped!)
