The orange trail was quite nice but we had to endure a lot of wet to get there. Need to explore further when dryer.

A really fun trail. Lots of history in west woods. Of course, buggy. But that’s the time of year.

Pretty trail with easy access to salt water lake and adjoining marsh. We saw a great egret and other birds. Close to train and houses, so quiet, but you can hear civilization. Trails can be confusing - make sure to get a map. The white trail had several offshoots which were also part of the white trail. If we hadn't had a map it would have been pretty confusing.

Nice trail. Couldn't find the waterfall though and lake was pretty smelly but nice hike.

The driving directions sent you to Three Mile Course to hike the Lost Lake Trail but we found it much more convenient to park on Sam Hill Road. It starts you right off on the White trails that lead you to the beautiful Lost Lake and the Carved Rocks. The rocks are a little hard to find but it was a beautiful walk.

This is a BEAUTIFUL trail! Not very hard. The white square is a bit more difficult than the white circle trail, and that is mostly because of the big rocks that you have to climb up at the end, but it takes about 60-70 minutes at a novice pace to reach the vista, which is stunning. This is a very accessible trail, with an OK parking lot, but it gets very crowded after about 10am on the weekends. Very neat terrain, you literally walk right next to the train tracks for about a quarter of a mile, which is interesting... This is part of the Westwoods trail system in Guilford/Branford, which extends for thousands of acres and contains cave like rock formations of which you can crawl under/over, vistas, hidden lakes, rock quarry's and more.... You can take this trail to the rest of the trails and hike all day if you wanted to. Living in Guilford myself, this is by far my favorite trail due to how easily accessible/beautiful it is year round.
