Long Wharf Trail is a 1.6 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near New Haven, Connecticut that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, nature trips, and bird watching.
This section has nice views of New Haven Harbor. If you’d like the smell of low tide, Diesel fumes, loud highway traffic and Stinky food trucks, then yes this bike path is for you! The best view is at the end of the pier.
Nice gentle walk along the waterfront. Lots of activity by the water.
The view was beautiful - some trash was visible along the way. It is definitely a walk but worth it!
Nice and simple. Easy access+lots of parking+great for kids. If visited during low tide, you will be able to enjoy some fun wildlife. My girls LOVED seeing all the fiddler crabs! I do wish it was a bit cleaner (lots of trash), and the smells weren’t always the best either. Also, the freeway is right there, so it takes away from the overall ambiance (but I’m being picky at this point). All in all, it’s a great little trail for a quick-after-IKEA-order-pick-up adventure
Easy paved walk way Long Wharf dock too Nice by the shore Always a breeze
