Huntington offers a wide range of trails from easy to difficult. Only setback is that it is too popular .

Note: the color of the trail when you start at the south lot (the one with the bear and wolf sculptures) is actually the blue trail. Allltrails mistakenly notes if as the white trail.

Great place to hike with children and dogs.

Great park. I wonder if Collis Huntington would approve of anything associated with his name being open to the general public?

Varied, easy terrain and water views make this a nice light hike. Great for dogs and/or kayaking, too.

A great place to go for a walk or a hike. Varied terrain and trails make this my go to place for a hike. I just wish they would clean the latrine.

live near so we hike these trails often. we park in the lower parking spot near Poverty Hollow rd. not many hikers use this entrance. Makes for a peaceful hike.

Well marked and defined bridle, and single tracks for trail running, mountain biking and hiking. This is my go to spot during the fall and when I want to work on my speed, or just get an easy run in.

No views that I could see but I liked the way this was set up where you could cut through to make the hike shorter at any time or continue

Extra wide trails make for lots of use by bikers and horses. The numerous narrow and unmarked trails are better.

This park has a good combination of wide, simple trails and some more challenging single track. There are some nice water features and some interesting boulders. It's nice to head of the main trails and take some of the smaller trails that zig-zag through the woods and mountain laurel.

Great park for just about everything. Have hiked just about every inch of this place, mountain biked through, scenic runs and even a few nice little swims. Great place to go out on a canoe or kayak. There is a tiny little island out on the larger body of water which has a little replica of a lighthouse. Water is deep enough to jump in from the tower, one of my favorite spots to relax by.

A nice, level trail great for walking the dogs on. Lovely trees and ponds and streams for scenery. Really picturesque on a fall afternoon, I look forward to going back and doing some trail running there.

First day biking at Huntington. We hooked up with a regular who was leaving. Jared unloaded his bike and graciously gave us a 5 mile tour of the park. I loved it! Lots for everyone. In my limited experience, there seemed to be plenty of trails for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders. Can't wait to go back next weekend.

Words can't say enough. Very accessible year round, bring your dog, hike, ski, sled, boat, fish etc. Endless choice of trails.

Snowshoeing with the dogs. Lots of trails to go deep into the woods and allow dogs to run.

We did a loop from the main parking area south around the lakes and then headed for the north to create about a 5m loop. A gentle walk with some grade change but nothing really challenging. A great afternoon walk. Lots of options to shorten the walk if needed. Would definitely do again.

This is a great place for family fun. Everything is easy. We have visited this park many times. If you continue along Sunset Hill Road past the main park entrance for about a mile turn right on Old Dodgingtown Road . Before you reach the second parking lot there is an excellent place to put in a canoe or kayak. The three upper ponds of the five ponds in the park are interconnected. It makes for good variety and pretty views. The blue trail south along the western edge of the park is wide crushed stone and is shared with horses. If you continue past the South Pond the trail is then blazed white heading north and then becomes red. At the end of East Lagoon it becomes white again heading north back to the parking lot. This makes a nice loop of about 2 miles with little gain in elevation anywhere along the way. Don't forget to bring a fishing pole! Check out the link where you can print out all the park information and the trail map.

I found these trails rather easy with some hills, unusual for back in Connecticut where even the Westport nature Center is moderately hilly. I'd definitely recommend them ! The Aspetuck River is very pretty.
