This was a disappointing trail. I started on the red off 177, went to white then blue and could not find the orange trail anywhere. I went back and forth looking for it. I apparently didn’t go far enough on the blue I guess to find the orange but I was walking behind people’s houses and thought I was trespassing because there were NO more blue blazes. Plus there was a fallen tree and you couldn’t see a path in one of the parts. These trails need to be marked better! There was another spot on the blue that I walked a decent way on the way back to take a different route back to my car and was wondering if I was even still on the path! Many tree obstacles on the paths and with all the leaves on the ground, the paths weren’t that clear in spots. Especially some spots on the white trail too. Need better blazes there as well. Red trails were well marked. I walked almost all of red and white, and most of blue. Disappointing to not find the memorial site. Will have to go back and enter from the orange trail site. Update: Went back via the short orange trail from another entrance. It was easy enough to find, but I ended up taking the orange to the blue to see where it met coming from the other end since I couldn’t find it last time. There are no markers to let you know you are on the blue and there was also a fallen tree blocking the trail a little ways down on blue. Secondly, if you were on the blue trail, there were no markers to let you know where the orange trail begins. You would have to walk down it for a little bit to see if you are actually on the orange.

Clean, wide trial. A couple trees were done but easily managed over. Was great for getting in a short run with the dogs before the sun went down.

As many have noted, you are constantly bothered by bugs almost everywhere on both the blue and the white trail even with good repellent. Hat net recommended. The trails are easy and wide open except where tress fell across - not a problem to pass. The white trail is more to my taste than the blue one although it too is too easy. I criss-crossed then both in details, retracing my steps where necessary to ensure I had seen them all. I find the abandoned zoo depressing, not because the animals are not there but because they were ever locked-up in these sad cages. Altogether (blue plus white) a little shy of two hours going fast to have been on all paths.

this was the worst marked trail I've ever been on. when on the blue trail the markers just stopped for like 1/4 of a mile then picked up again and then on the Red trail there were trees off the trail that were marked in the thick of the woods ! Not to mention horribly flooded and buggy !

RunningMuddy

I was underwhelmed by my two visits here. The terrain is flat but the paths were very muddy and there are many swampy spots. I wanted to be able to run more but kept having to stop to navigate mud and water and ar one point followed a trail that just turned into a swamp. I expected these trails to be better maintained.

Well marked and wide trails. Very easy and peaceful hike. The only downside is many patches of trail are prone to flooding so boots are needed to stay on trail.

Nice trail, took the Blue Trail to go to the Orange Trail to the memorial, from the lot from Plainville Ave, muddy in a few areas, but the trail needs better markings. We followed the blue markings and then they were all red. We ended up passing the opening for the Orange trail as there was no clear marker for it, but found it after back tracking.
