Well marked- we stayed on the white trail. A little muddy for mountain bikes.

Hiking

Very icy on the main trails. Stick to the sides or side trails & bring micro spikes. Still always scenic.

Did my own version. Lots of unmarked well worn side trails. Not sure how accurate between all trails and DEEP map. Easy enough if you just stay on what is more a rec path- but not necessarily well marked with blazes at times.

Lots of gravel. Wide open trail. Could have done with way less gravel.

Wide trails, a lot to choose from. The route shown is shorter than 7 miles mentioned in the description it is just under 6 miles. A lot of alternative routes not shown on this map.

The trails were in beautiful condition. I started hiking at sunrise and there was no one else around. By about 6:30 there were other hikers and most with their dogs. A great place to bring your family with to get some fresh air. I don't think the trails are difficult but some rocky slopes if balance is an issue. Not much in terms of inclines or steep grades. Good for trail running and or ruck runs if you're a hard charger like that.

Nice relatively flat 6.8 mile ramble with some interesting glens and rock formations, especially on the Rock and Roll Trail.

You can start this loop from any of the four parking lots. A mostly level woods walk around the perimeter of the state park. Only the sections near the lake are busy; other areas are generally quiet. There are many un-marked side trails - particularly generated by the local mountain bikers

Nice area. Trail is more of a fire road but very nice. I wouldn’t classify it as intermediate, but a Bardet easy. Very well marked. Will try this area again.
