Took Miller's pond park entrance in. white path west to link up with mattabesett. There are laurel forests on the eastern side of pond and just beyond Bear Rock heading south on Mattabesett. Mostly beach goers and there is some noise that carries across the pond until you reach Bear Rock. The quiet sanctuary of the caves and laurel forests are worth the short hike. Shortcut from Harvey Rd. Head in North.
