Such a fun short trail. The balanced rocks are really cool and loved climbing over/under/through the rock shelters. I took the trail to the end of blue and then turned around to go back the way I came instead of following the dirt path to complete loop. No views but the terrain was enjoyable for sure.

My 2 children and 2 nieces ages 10-12 years old loved climbing the rock scrambles. Awesome ledges and mossy trails with numerous streams and creeks. Nature’s Beauty!

The R/C rock crawling group I belong to go all over the state and this is one of the best places for R/C rock crawling.

Thank you, Dan, for pointing out the underground yellow jackets, noted as a waypoint. The area now has caution tape and signage. The nest is located about 9/10 of a mile from Route 80. They should be gone once the cold temperatures arrive.

I like this trail a lot and do it often but, unfortunately, there is an active ground nest of aggressive yellow jackets on the eastern side of the loop about a mile from Route 80.

Fun hike with some good scrambling! I took my 4 year old lab mix and the bouldering was just at his limit so if you have an older puppo, this might be a bit much.

Great trail for some quick and easy scramble. All green tunnel so no views but a lot of variety in the plants as you go. Two spots on the trail give you the option of adding about a mile, then another 3, to the hike if you want more.

Well-marked trail. I usually hike for the views, but I’m currently working in CT which is not exactly known for high mountains. The diversity of landscapes and the boulders/rocks along this trail keep it interesting and fun.

Nice little hike. The western half mile back to HWY 80 is unmarked, but easy enough to follow. Blue blazes are placed frequently enough to make it fairly easy to stay on trail.
