Saw the real deal hiking spots in the trail. A lot of trees down from the storms. Found from the electrical poles to the trail was surreal from all of the static to quiet then bird sings and woods. Quite beautiful. Glad that the typography of the map was so clear to follow. VERY ROCKY, loose rock, Avalanche style

Went around the lake maybe 10 feet from the shore all the way around, didn’t see a marker for a trail until past halfway through. Very rocky, downed trees. Good exercise.

One half of this trail is definitely easy. Well traveled, clear path, lovely views of the reservoir. The other half of this trail is moderate at the least. Rock scrambles, unclear, and unmarked trails. If traveling with a young child (I had my 2.5 yo) please stick to the side that begins on the right hand side if you are facing the reservoir.

I second the last review. First half is very easy, pleasant, in-and-out stroll. If you continue to the second part of the lake, however, it turns into a rocky dangerous bouldering adventure. It is completely uncleared and the trail is only very faintly indicated. If you are a hiker, it’s a nice hike. But if you’re looking for a nice lake stroll, it’s best to turn back when you hit the bridge.

First to Review

The first half (with the pine trees) is very flat and wide with people walking their dogs. The second part was covered in rocks and not the same type of trail at all. I would not say that it’s very difficult, but I’m my view it should be labeled as an easy trail since the second part is so wildly different from the first. Maybe moderate is a better classification for this. The second part is an uncleared trail.
