Very nice trail. Easy for kids. The only drawback is traffic noise close to the pond.

Really great simple hike and fairly well maintained trail. The historic history of this area is quite intriguing and you can quite often find remnants of old structures along the trail if you're observant.

Nice trail - went with two kids - but had to carry them over the overgrown sections to and from the loop around the lake. This was late summer so probably nice in the fall.

A relatively easy loop around a large pond. The western path near the upper end of the pond as somewhat overgrown in late August, but very passable. In summer, expect the usual bugs and humidity you'll get anywhere in Southern CT. Views of the pond are pleasant and it is a good place for wildlife photography. The trail is often somewhat off the pond, so a longer lens may be helpful. You can also access the Pine Mountain trails from here, although those trails are more strenuous than the ones around the pond, especially if you plan on going all the way to the Ives cabin overlook. If you plan on doing that, equip yourself for a real hike.

Overgrown bushes, just like 2018, in 2019 it’s still not able to bike it. Otherwise it would be a nice trail.

First part of train rocky and very muddy in places. But worth it to make to pond for views plus beautiful vista at the end

I took the unmarked trail, it was definitely rocky and off the beaten path but offered beautiful views and was totally worth it. I did have to cross the stream a few times and got soaked, so if you’re looking to do some more adventurous hiking be prepared to get a little wet!

The part of the trail where the pond goes into a stream close to route seven was a raging river today. Not easy to cross.

Trail around Bennet's poind is one of the most beautiful in the area!

Poor markers foe trails. Many are missing. With trails covered in leaves, its almost impossible to discern the trails. Alltrails app saved me, allowing me to see my location vis-a-vis the trails on the map and cutting through the forest to reach one of the trails. But in case of some low emergency such as impending rain or darkness, you may find yourself completely lost due to the poor trail markings.

Good trail, nice shade, rocky at points, a few pretty views of shrinking lake.

Beautiful trail but path is not well maintained in some areas and narrow in some spots. Lots of brush, weeds, grass, overgrown shrubs, poison ivy, poison oak so be cautious and dress appropriately. Mostly shaded which is nice. Some areas are rocky. Our puppy loves hiking but he was covered in ticks on this trail. No trash bins located anywhere near the entrance or around the trail.

It's a beautiful property but the trails have really grown in over the years.

The trail is just as described, easy. Although that doesn't take away from the rock formations, the pond and general peace that exists here. (There is some white noise from the traffic upon entry based on where I parked) I've had my dog out here a few times I've not found it busy at all during the week. Clean. Safe.

Two relatively easy loops (1 and 2 mile loops), one of which runs partially along a marshy lake. Great if you want to see birds and beavers. Fishing possible but very difficult from shore and it's a bit of a hike with a kayak or canoe and no easy launch because of lily pads and other grasses. There are several out and backs and/or loops that can be made in the northern part of the park and into the adjoining Ridgefield open spaces and Wooster Mountain State park in Danbury. This park is popular among mountain bikers. This used to be a a tree farm in the early to mid 20th century and you can see craters where tress were removed as well as parts of the foundation of the old inn on the grounds. Parts of the trail get pretty muddy after rain.
