The entrance is easy to miss. As you drive down East Shore Road, drive slow and look for a small wooden sign nailed to a pine tree. The entrance is a shared driveway shared by a residential home. After a short hike up a slight hillside, you'll be rewarded with a tranquil view of Bantam Lake and the surrounding landscape. Best on a summer morning or evening.

Look for address 142 as the entrance is off a private driveway/easement. Also, this trail is barely a mile loop, the view is gorgeous on the wooden observation tower. You can decide to continue onto the Laurel Hill Trail towards the boardwalk at Cat swamp if you choose to if you want a longer hike. When we went it seemed that the poison ivy was creeping within the cut meadow closer than usual so be cautious.
