Loved this hike! Dec 30, 2020. Did it in snowshoes which was helpful, but some of the group just did it in hiking boots.

Muddy and slippery. Great views. Snow on the ground made for a slower hike. Don’t get discouraged with the access road being blocked.

If you're looking for a local neighborhood mountain bike trail in a condo neighborhood under construction next to the highway, this is the trail for you. If you want a true outdoor Colorado pine forest mountain experience, look elsewhere.

Beautiful! A little confusing with the construction. If you start where we ended it will help with finding the trail and parking.

Amazing leaves from the Aspens. Some mountain bike traffic but everyone was friendly. Bir of incline makes it moderate, but not technical. Really beautiful scenery.

HikingGreat!

The trailhead is blocked off. We parked at the Hi Country Haus pavilion. Start at the trail there and use your app to find the connection to Yankee Doodle about.5 mile from there. You will have to cross the road they are building. LOVED the views the entire way. Cross road at the end the continue ion the short Arrow trail for views in the other direction.

Nice afternoon hike. Took it easy and enjoyed the views. I found myself stopping every other minute to take a photo... I would consider this more of an easy hike than its moderate rating.

We enjoyed this trail. An easy climb for a week day evening - we saw very few others along the route. Very convenient from Main Street in Winter Park, and the dog loved it as well! the trees are very young, so as others have mentioned, this is not a deep-woods nature escape, but a pretty trail with some town views.

This trail was really nothing special. Most of the trees are very young, so you can see over the tops of them for much of the trail. This means that your views consist of condos, resorts, and tennis courts for much of the hike. About 3/4 of the way through, the trail crosses a gravel road, and the end of the trail is just another road. We saw a few other hikers, and we saw a lot of cyclists. If you’re trying to escape into nature, this is not the trail for you. If you just want some exercise walking uphill a bunch and don’t care about views, this one is fine.

Easy hike for beginners. Scenery good but not as good as Second Creek to Twin Cones. Not much to see at the top. Bikes present so parents of young kids may not feel comfortable.
