HikingGreat!

Half of the trail is walking along a dirt road past driveways which is not the most natural experience. The waterfall is bone dry this time of year, good imagination highly recommended.

We loved it! We are just getting into hiking so this was perfect for us. We didn’t find the waterfall so I think we missed the path. Definitely glad we went early on a Sunday as the crowds were building by 830. Will do this again. There is a fee of $9. If no ranger you need to use a debit card at the station.

Shaded. No waterfall in July but still a cool, easy hike.

The trail is beautiful! It’s shaded and easy to follow. We were one of very few people there. It’s like stepping into an oasis. $9 to get into the park.

Falls very dry, only a trickle. Nice to visit a part of the park I’ve never been to, though. Part along road is too developed for my taste.

While most of the park seemed pretty busy..I had this trail all to myself today. The road part is a little boring but the trail sections were very pretty. Only a tiny trickle at the waterfall though unfortunately.

Waterfall isn't very full yet as of 5/16/2020. A bit confusing to navigate. Park map you're given doesn't show how to get to the falls. Start at the Willow Creek Loop by the visitor's center, stay on that trail until you reach the sign that says Willow Creek Loop (left) OR South Rim Loop & Carpenter Peak Trail (right). Go right and continue to follow signs for the Carpenter Peak Trail UNTIL you reach a dirt road. Turn left on that road towards some old dilapidated buildings and tractors and soon you'll come across a sign for Willow Creek falls on your right (past some private properties).

It was a good hike but has a lot of icy areas on incline and decline. So be prepared and don’t wear tennis shoes like I did lol

This is a beatiful place with many hiking trails of all levels of difficulty. There is an $8 parking fee payable by credit card only at the machine at the entrance. You will go to the 2nd lot for parking for this specific trail. The visitor center has regular parts hours and, when open, does have a restroom and staffed learning center. It's very nice. You will need to take the trail through the rocks at the parking lot to find the visitor center. I asked the range for directing to this specific Falls trail, and it was so a little confusing. So I have posted pictures of the signs to follow to get to the Falls. This was an easy-ish hike with some slight inclines that will bring you a sweat. Beautiful scenery in the whole area. I look forward to exploring more of the trails. My 13 year old nephew really liked the hike and area as well.

Not well signed. follow signs to peak trail and then take a left at the road. perfect for my fat self who is trying to get into hiking but wants some challenge.
