Wildcat Canyon is a 5.9 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Lake George, Colorado that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and ohv/off road driving.
Please note, users have suggested downloading the offline map before you go as the cell coverage is spotty in this area. Also, the road to the trailhead is narrow and gravel and you may need a 4x4 vehicle in the winter when there is snow.
Amazing views. Trail markings are non existentw. We couldn’t find the trail near the halfway point so turned it into an out and back. Lots of animal tracks but no unusual sightings. The road getting there is gravel, mostly single lane and often with a ledge straight down. Drive a capable vehicle with a good driver. The only complaint was that several vehicles drove down the trail
Great views. However there are no signs and no GPS coverage so download the map! I ended up taking the wrong path and ended up back tracking instead of looping. The road getting there is narrow and gravel. There was snow and ice at the end of November. Fresh cat tracks too so, heads up!
