Awesome hike! Great views. We took the Weehawkin Trail just beyond the end onto the unmaintained trail. We sat and had lunch on the trail and stared at a beautiful mountain in front of us. It was so close! It was awesome! We back tracked to Alpine Mine Trail and ended at Alpine Lookout. Breathtaking!! Amazing views! This was a full day of hiking since both trails together were 11 miles so about seven hours of hiking. But well worth it!

trail was in good shape today with several areas of snow. ended at the alpine outlook for spectacular view!
