I have jogged and ridden this trail many times. just make sure if you ride it, you stay in the bike lane! Otherwise pedestrians will yell at you!

Perfection in the city

I wanted to take my two dogs for a walk... this walk ended up being well over an hour maybe even two. Washington Park is large, great location, a beautiful lake and a lot of activities and action going on.

Excellent inner city graveled walk/run option.

The lakes here are pretty and there are plenty of fowl. The surrounding traffic is quite noisy though and it is hard to escape the feeling of cars being on top of you.

My favorite place to take a long walk during the summer. There is a small fishing pond that would be great for kids. Nice to choose from an inner or outer trail depending on how much time I have. Stroller, wheelchair, and definitely kid friendly park

2.5 miles around wash park. People with dogs are not considerate at this park. Nonetheless pretty area to get a quick run in.

This trail is not a hiking or mountain biking trail. It is a city park trail that is mostly paved and well-maintained. Plenty of trees. It is great for bikes and roller blades with some really nice bike lanes separated from the walking lanes. It is a great place to run or walk, to ride bikes within city limits. There are two small lakes (looks like maybe paddle boarding is an option) and a fishing pond. Plenty of grass for volleyball or other activities, and some tennis courts. If you are expecting mountain/hiking this is not what you'll want. But if you want a great area within the city to get some exercise, it is a good choice.

Great Denver park

Easy walk.
well-shaded in many parts as I walked it midday.
Will definitely do it again as it is convenient & close to home, but it isn't exactly a challenging course/path.

Lots of people but we saw a cormorant! Cool park for an urban outing. But urban outings aren't the best.

December 28, 2014, 1 PM: There is plenty of parking and the trails were cleared of the snowfall from a few days before. Though the amenities were closed for the winter, porta-potties were available. You'll want to bring your own sanitizer. We walked around the park with a stroller. Total walk was about 4 miles.
There are several different paths one could take to adjust the length of their hike/jog/run. Several runners and joggers were seen today, and we even came across one man wearing snowshoes.
