Easy and short; more of a walk than a hike. I took my infant son around this loop in a jogging stroller when he wasn't feeling well and had no issues on the trail. Not a lot of shade, but we went on a overcast day and it was fine. It's not Boulder's most dramatic trail in terms of difficulty or view, but the boardwalk on the pond was lovely and unique!

Sweet little area. Feels like the midwest.

Very little shade on a hot summer day. Better opportunities around here.

This was a great little walk with my 8 year and our 2 small dogs. They had a fun little outdoor detective game for my son and gorgeous views. It was a great morning walk.

Pretty leisurely walking trail- we happened to be there on national migratory bird day so there were a lot of demonstrations and people pointing out really cool birds!. It is easy for older humans and dogs; loved the marshlands. Dogs here must be on leash and there aren't too many of them. Make sure you go in a little further to park as there is an industrial park near 75th street. It didn't seem the directions sent us to the exact correct spot. Also it seemed you could continue on to other trails

A birder's paradise! And a lovely place for a run, a leisurely stroll, or a picnic. The boardwalks in the marshlands are a unique treat. Also a gorgeous place to watch the sunset over the mountains! I'm not sure why anyone would give this place less than 4 stars. It might not be what they're used to (or expect) if they're looking for rugged mountain trails, but it is excellent for what it is! (Also, contrary to a couple older reviewers' comments, the map directions are now correct.)

I love being out here. It's a walk/hike, not difficult unless you go off piste. But fun to see pelicans etc.

Flat, mostly gravel trails that loops around several ponds. You can take various loops so you can make your walk as long or short as you like. I went 4 miles while there. The boardwalks are nice on some of the ponds. A couple trails were overgrown. Would probably take the dogs there in the spring or fall, otherwise wouldn't go back.

Great place for outdoor group gatherings like family reunions or team building. I used to play capture the flag here as a kid! I've attempted to correct the map, as the other user noted, it isn't correct.

The location of this place is incorrect on the map here. It's actually north of Valmont right off of 75th street. It's a very easy hike, really I'd call it more of a nature walk. Little to no elevation change, but it's really great for birding. If you look up Walden Ponds on the Boulder County website they actually have a checklist of all the birds that you can see in this area. Great for kids and families.
