The Prairie Trail is a 3 mile loop that passes the ruins of an old stage coach station for the Barlow and Sanderson Stage Line, pass the ruins of an old settlement, a rock corral and natural springs, and ending in the canyon where spur trails take you to Native indian petroglyphs.

The trail was a nice hike along an old stage line and through a native sage prairie. Great open sky, nice desert scenery. Recommend doing it with the other trails at Vogel canyon. It makes a nice full day hiking the area. Some of the other trails are more spectacular, but I wouldn't miss this one either.
