The Mesa trail at Vogel Canyon is a 2.25 loop trail that branches off the Overlook trail and the Prairie trail. It wanders through the pinon pine, past a spring and some old ruins.

The scenery was decent, but not spectacular. The trail was easy to walk and fairly clearly marked. I would recommend checking it out if you happen to be in the area.

Vogel Mesa trail follows the canyon rim and offers nice view of the canyon and surround country. Pleasant and short enough for anyone. Camping at the trailhead and coupling this trail with the others at Vogel makes for a nice day to day and one half of fun.
