Utterly beautiful, there are ample scenic overlooks. In a few spots along the trail you can see the Indian Peaks even before you get to "realization point". There isn't a lot of parking at the trailhead, maybe 5 spots, and a $5 fee, self pay.
Great easy trail nice views all around. Paid parking $5 self serve
Slushy and slippery but managed without microspikes (still would recommend). Be prepared for very steep sections, but also makes for fun descents!
Took some out of towners on this hike and they loved it. Decided to keep going to Mays point since it was a short distance further and it made the hike way better! Pretty easy but there is a bit of incline in some spots. Only passed three groups the whole time and they put on masks when passing. It was pretty low key. I recommend for visitors that aren’t able to do big hikes but want pretty views!
What a perfect hike! So many wildflowers and lots of shady points to rest in. I ended up making my own longer loop back, but highly recommend for a nice day out
