Upper Upper Loop Trail is a 8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Crested Butte, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Not accessible in the snow. I was using snowshoes but could not stay on the trail. Finally just backtracked back out. If there are any trail markers, they are buried in the snow.
Locals told me to do this for the wildflowers. Hiked this trail from Brush creek side after doing the Brush creek trail. I thought it was an average trail, average views, average wildflowers, just MEH! Don't know what the fuss is about. Maybe it is better from the other side of Mtn. I got bored with it and did not go to the end. The most interesting thing I saw on the trial was a woodpecker chipping away at an Aspen tree, which is to say that there wasn't much to this trail.
