Great hike on a beautiful sunny slightly windy day. Trail had some snow in the shady parts along the first half of the hike along the first lake. Easily traversable. Awesome views of the lakes. The upper lake had whitecaps due to the wind. The InterLaken historic site is really cool. Totally recommend this hike!

Have done this trail dozens of times for a "warm up". It never gets old. Always great to see lots of young families. Views are spectacular.

Really easy, and popular, but this trail has fantastic views and a great history lesson at Interlaken. We had lunch about a quarter mile past the abandoned resort and made our way to the lake following the old road to the resort.

An easy hike through the forest, along a lake. Great views throughout the trail, and then leading to a deserted resort! You could go inside some of the buildings, it was really cool. Great for families and beginners.

Great hike with lots of shade.we took a lot of little ones and they handled it with no problem. Real easy and beautiful. Nice beach spot at the end near the hotel to soak your feet in.

Nice easy hike. Great views of the lake. Fun to check out the old home and lodge. I would do it again. Got out early and missed most of the of the traffic.

Wonderfully scenic hike with the benefit of an interesting destination halfway through. We slogged through quite a bit of patchy snow, postholing at times, (snowshoes or yak trax could still be helpful), but the stop at Interlaken and a beautiful day along the lake made the effort worthwhile. Turned around a mile or so west of the old resort where the spur and main trails converge, as we were encountering some deeper snow and the trail was just a bit tricky to follow at times.

The hike is on a slope for a while in the beginning but that is the only downfall. The resort is about halfway through the hike and is absolutely beautiful. There's also a patch of Aspens that are huge and gorgeous. Wonderful hike.

Relatively easy hike with little elevation gain. My GPSer logged 5.5 miles from trailhead to resort and back.

Beautiful scenery along this trail that runs along the twin lakes. Pretty easy with relatively no elevation gain or loss. There are small areas with a little climb. Deserted resort at Interlaken at about 2.4 miles in. Worth checking out. Beautiful mountain views of Mt. Elbert and the surrounding peaks.

Great Hike for families with young children! It's about 4.6 miles to the Resort and back, which was a perfect distance for the kids (and me!)

Really nice, easy hike. The historic homes are about 2.2 miles in, and worth seeing. A few mountain bikes passed us at around 11am, but not too crowded. The water and views are beautiful.
