Nice trails—lakes are pretty and the walk/hike is flat and easy.

Lots of ice around lake. The view of the mountains is gorgeous on the east side of lakes but the trail is pretty short. Wish it were a bit longer. Great for a quick jaunt...

RunningOff trail

AllTrails is way off, on this one. The trail supposedly cuts through the lake. In order to follow this trail, I would have to walk on water, like the Nazarene. If you look at my recording, it says I did just that. A miracle of the modern age.

Great area if your dog loves to swim. One lake loop is off leash and completely fenced. There is about a 1/4 mile flat, gravel path around the lake - ideal for easy walking or jogging. Always lots of dogs in the off leash area playing and swimming. The other lake loop also has a flat gravel path around the lake and allows dogs on leash only. Easy street parking, or there is a small lot near the on leash lake loop.

Dog off leash. Easy flat short walk. Bird watching in May. Sound of busy road and no parking.

Walking

Good for a stroll. Calm and beautiful lakes. WAY too many dogs though for a non dog person. The west lake can be used by dogs off-leash.

Running

I used to walk and run this all the time when I lived in the area. It's a nice flat, dirt trail perfect for a run or relaxing walk. Popular for families and people of all ages. At the west lake dogs are allowed off leash and you can often watch them playing in the water.

The West lake loop is perfect for dog friendly dogs! My young boys love to run and play there but my senior boy also loves the easy walk.

It's not a "hike" by any means, but the .7 mile west lake trail is a WONDERFUL dog park. It's all fenced in and the dogs love to play in the lake and with each other. I go almost every day
