Beautiful lake and trail. The trail is a lot of up and down and lots of different terrain. There is no huge climb just up and down. The end of trail is another parking lot (with bathroom which is good. ) But the return hike doesn’t offer any new views so we were a little disappointed. Beautiful place to camp and appears people like to fish in the lake. We never saw anyone in the trail so if you like quiet trails .. this is great. If I did it again I would go about 5 miles in and then back.

This a beautiful trail and I wish I'd had more time to enjoy it. The views are INCREDIBLE. A few people were out but not crowded. I would have liked to have seen more wildlife but that's my only complaint. Definitely recommend!

What a beautiful trail! Portions of the trail open up to the sandy, sometimes rocky shoreline and other sections are quite secluded thanks to the trees. There are some pleasant hills and a few more rocky down/uphill spots that were really fun! Would have rated higher if there weren’t so many campsites along the trail, but that’s definitely a plus if you’re looking to camp by the lake!

A great easy hike around a lake that is over looked by Mt Massive and Elbert. Beautiful views around the lake, a nice acclimation hike.

Gorgeous place to hike and camp. More dispersed camping available here as well.

Great easy hike for an acclimation day. Easy groomed trail along the lake. Went on a Friday mid-morning and it wasn’t too busy.

Always extremely crowded with tourists at turquoise lake, do not recommend. Wouldn’t mind it if they weren’t so territorial and rude.

Super easy to find. Short walk to the lake- tail goes all the way around if you want more adventure. 10/10 would do again.

Its a easy trail, it goes along the shoreline for the most part. One other place say the trail is 6.1 one way, and my watch and app showed just over 12 miles also (but also depending on where you start, i imagine).
