Tiehack is a 2.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Aspen, Colorado that offers the chance to see wildlife. The trail is rated as difficult and primarily used for hiking, trail running, and downhill skiing. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Steep and hard, but doable and the views atop of Maroon Bells make it all worth it. Minimal shade in most part.

It’s perfect in the summer time. We went early enough, only saw a handful of people. Awesome views of Aspen Highlands and Maroon Bells.
