This trail is famous amoung Colorado Mountain Bikers. It begins roughly 50 yards south from the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola (on the dirt service road.) This trail is an out and back but can be made longer or into a loop trail by taking one or more of the offshoot trails you will encounter along the way. This trail is for mountain biking only and features beautiful wildflowers and incredible views of Vail's legendary back bowls. Plan for 45 minutes to 2 hours for this trail depending on skill level.

I rode this trail after hearing some of my mountain biker friends talk about how much they enjoyed the views. I headed out to ride and snap some photos. This trail truly does not disappoint. It is an out and back so that means in order to be good for mountain biking you'll need to first ride uphill. The uphill can be rough at times but the views, wildlife, and ride down are all worth it! This is a fantastic way to see Vail's back bowls in the summer.
