Starts from the top of Aspen Mountain Summer Road. Beautiful scenery along the way. Taylor lake at the end is well worth it. A few tough sections, drove it in a lifted GX460 on BFG KO2's, and would not drive it in much less. Would highly recommend you air down, and have tough tires for the rocky sections. The toughest sections were getting down to and back up from Taylor Lake (which is optional), you can just enjoy the view from the top of the ridge. We camped at Taylor Lake for 2 days, dispersed camping allowed off those roads, and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and beauty of the place. Took Express Creek road towards Ashcroft on the way out, as that is slightly quicker to get back to Aspen.

From top of Aspen mountain very beautiful well marked trails. Lots of different terrain. The backside of trail has some portions where rocky sandy with narrow trail along the edge. Bring your confidence. Beautiful day trip.

Drove it in my lifted 5th gen 4runner. Went around Taylor lake. Took a left at the fork around the lake. Easier if you go right. Came back on the highway

Great easy trail. Terrain is rocky but great views to see. Deff worth the drive out there. Meet some good people also. Take a lunch because it is a all day ordeal!
