The area is terrific and not far from town but this trail is really a mountain biking area. You will always making way for bikes if walking with your pups. Plus most people had their dogs off leash which for me with a dog who needs to be on leash leads to a lot of concern about dogs coming up and starting a fight. If you’re into mountain biking, go here. If you want a nice hike with your dogs, go elsewhere.

I’m fairly new to hiking and I have RA and I’m recovering from foot surgery. That being said this hike was perfect. There were no big step ups or downs I needed to take, but there was enough ascent and descent to make me feel like I got a good workout. I followed the app and the trail markers and did fine staying on course. There were bikers, but that went well to. I was able to hear or see them coming and make sure they had room. There were pretty views as well.

Quick easy trail to do before work or if you have a long lunch. Many of the trails are for mountain bikers, so watch out!

I have hiked this trail several times. I like the climb and the improved views as you go up. I like the switch backs on the way down, too. Today was extremely windy with a cold bite to it. It still was fun and good exercise.

don't miss the orange marker about a mile up and the wombat arch over the cliff to the right.

I would rate this easy, maybe at most slightly moderate when it comes to hiking and I’m an absolute beginner. The beginning doesn’t offer much scenery, but the views get better as you go on. We got off the beaten path a little, but my group and I had a lot of fun on this trail!

Thanks everyone for their reviews on this place. I’d call it an easy to moderate trail depending on if you add on extra legs. Lots of trails to explore. No tree cover and it can get hot. Loved the trail and views. A very nice mountain bike park that allows hikers and horses. I did see a sign stating no E-Bikes. Overall nice place to explore and nice views.

Don’t pay attention to the hard rating for this if you are hiking. It would definitely be hard on a bike, but for hiking it’s in the easy/moderate range. Easily done by myself and my wife and we’re causal hikers at best. Great views of the surrounding area!

Took tabeguache to moto to ravens ridge to kurts lane and back. Qualify this as easy. Found a trail I can run on the weekends. Some great views. Trail is well marked...used the app once for directions.

Great trail. Dont let the 2.8 mi deceive you, it's a long one, probably took 2 hrs, had to walk the bike a lot. Trail is pretty well marked, just use context clues when you're unsure. Great views and so quiet.

High desert, single track dirt multiple trails with good maps. All interconnected trails. Moderate to difficult. Can hike/bike short to long distances. Bring water as this is a very dry area. Close to town with good parking on Monument Road staging area. Very hot in summer so start early to mid morning. Close to 5000' elevation so use sun screen. Enjoy.
