This is a beautiful place full of wild flowers, open rolling plains and hills surrounded by mountains. It was a sunny day in June with a constant refreshing breeze. We did the strenuous hike to the peak and were a bit let down just because there wasn’t a great view. However, the views are spectacular the whole way down the loop trial. This trail is more about the journey as opposed to a grand finale reward. The path seemed geared towards bikers for the most part but is still easily hiked

The perfect combo of hard work in the beginning with the beautiful views on the way down.

A fairly steep climb up, but well worth it. The downhill has a nice flow with a few technical sections. I highly recommend! The trail system on Strand Hill is very well marked and there are a lot of different trail options to take on the way down.
