Stony Pass is a 10.2 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Silverton, Colorado that features a river. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for off road driving.

The first part of the trail was easy but the last ten miles before you come to the Rio Grande Reservoir were very rocky, rough and parts were washed out. It was anything but easy!
A beautiful pass to drive the first of August, for all the varieties of wildflowers. The hillsides are full of them towards the top of the pass,on both sides.
Driven in Sep 2010, Goes over the continental divide. The east side is the headwaters of the Rio Grande River.
