Great trail, we went with the pups and did a little snow hiking. Highly recommend sticks and shoes that won’t make you slip around on the ice.

Expect to see some crowds. Starting on the southern half of the loop the trail is wooded and shady. Spend some time exploring the small pond and stream near the trail midpoint. The northern half of the loop is less of trail and more of an off-road vehicle access road - if I did this hike again I'd skip the second half of the loop and make the it an out-and-back along the southern half.

Two minutes of views. People-zoo / bro-fest with walking examples of every 'dont be this hiker on the trail' behavior.

Beautiful hike, worth the extra effort to get to upper Mohawk lake. Continental Falls was awesome too. Only negative was that we did the loop and the descent was boring coming down on the service road. I would make it an out and back and avoid the service road.

Good hike. Busy. Keep in mind there is a parking spot right at the top. Sort of ruined the feeling of being away from it all. Good time nonetheless. Our 4 and 6 year old had a good time but barely made it.

This Hike is not "lightly" trafficked. There were large groups both coming and going on the trail side of the beginning. It is also ALL uphill until Mayflower lake. There are a bunch of mosquitos at the top so bring bug spray or don't stop. The second half of the loop is a gravel road which was easy and sunny but not too picturesque. It's lovely at the lake and there's a option to continue to Mohawk. We didn't go that far.

Great hike with our kids. Our 3 yr old was in a pack part of the hike and the 6 yr old did the whole thing. He loved the streams and bridges. A great hike.
