Hiked on 5/27/20. Definitely recommend starting in the morning- it can get really hot up on the mesa! And bring a hat :) The trails are mostly dry, not a ton of mud left from the snow and rain. Great views of Golden!

Short one with the dog and fiancé. Not too busy!

Nice hike with some views. You can see the Coors factory from above.

It’s a good hike. Not tough. It’s a Mesa so flat at the top, whatever elevation you gain will be mostly climbing up and then it’s a flat Trail. Peaceful and easy.

4/10 A nice little hike close to Denver. Its a mesa so it’s flat on top more or less so the only elevation gain is climbing to the top. The rest of the hike is fairly flat and easy. Very nice views of the front range and Golden / Coors factory. The second half of the hike wasn’t quite as scenic as the first so it was more for the distance than anything. First half A+!

The trail was dry and fast today! Unfortunately, social distancing was rather difficult today due to the number of people up there but it is possible if you put in the effort.

Point to point on STM starting at end of 16th Street in Golden and ending at TH parking lot on Golden Hills. First half mile is a steep climb up Castle Rock, then mostly flat for the rest of the hike.

Nice easy hike. I feel moderate is a strong word once you get past the initial short segment up. It’s pretty flat up top, and a lot of road walking for the ranger trucks. Saw a coyote on the north ridge, he behaved and went in the other direction. A nice sight to see though.

Lovely hike as long as you don’t mind wind, wide open spaces and sparse vegetation. Portions of the trail were closed and the ancient palms section was muddy and icy but the majority of the hike was dry and easy.
