great for kids

Nice and flat at the top with great views of golden, Denver and coors. Not too many people which was nice, but I did this on. Monday afternoon.

Beautiful hike with moderate incline to the top of the table as expected. Amazing view from the top.
There are so many different lengths of trail you can do, we opted for the short version to the top for a quick morning hike. Doesn’t quite get the mountain feel, but it’s great for a close to home hike.

If you are starting from the start point shown on this map be prepared to carry your bike up a mountain! Not an easy climb, very difficult, but there are easy tracks on top

I recorded my trail below so you can the way I went. I do the short version of this (1.4 miles round trip). I start from a Neighborhood road and switch-back up until he fork in the trail, I head west to the top, up the wooden stairs to the top of the rock with an awesome view! It's a short hike and pretty easy. It may be difficult for people not used to the altitude or out of shape but for people who hike often it may even be too easy or short! I like it because it's a good quick hike with an awesome view that can get done before work! It'll take about 30-35 mins depending on how in shape you are and long you stay at the top.

Great hike to the top with the dog, which was kept on leash per the trail rules. The sunset from this viewpoint is awe-inspiring. Short and sweet hike.

Couldn't quite figure out the loop since there were trails everywhere, but easily made it up and back down again with our two year old on my hubby's back. Beautiful view of Golden from the top!

A good hike. The trail was a little wet from the snow but a fun one for sure. Great views

Pretty view at the top! You can see over all of Golden, some pretty rocky views and all the way to the Denver skyline. It's pretty easy but toward the top gets kinda steep and the rocks were really loose. We did this hike in less than a half hour and went over to the Coors brewery after. Good hike if you're looking for something quick.

Great hike with beautiful views. Went on a Sunday mid-day and while there was a decent amount of traffic on the trail, it didn't feel crowded or take away from the experience!

Getting to the top of the mesa is a great warm-up, once you get to the top, it's very easy-going. Lots of paths to choose from, so even if you see a lot of people on the way up, because it's so spread out, you'll still have a nice, quiet time. No shade at all, so not a favorite for the middle of summer, but great for when it's cooler. Lots of grass and open space, great views of Golden and Denver, very peaceful.

Nice fairly easy trail (beginning is a bit more challenging up hill). Most of the hike is pretty barren. The views from the top of South Table Mountain are beautiful.
