Usually a good quick hike. Expect plenty of fresh wet mud, spikes help but plan on getting a muddy and maybe taking a spill but snow patches around to wash up. I had a lot more fun than the better half. We regretfully made a loop should’ve gone out n back. Bring extra shoes and towel for the car. Don’t forget cold one for the view and enjoy it while you can

Tons of mud on warmer and sunny days. Unless it’s frozen, be prepared to build up some nice mud cakes on your boots. Great short hike when the trail is dry (like it was mid January).

This was a quick hike to the best views over all of downtown Golden! The trail was extremely muddy and had lots of ice, this was all frozen when I hiked it, but after a few sunny days it had melted to mud again. Hiking the frozen mud was easy, but I choose not to hike it again because the frozen mud had melted! Overall, pretty great hike if you only have an hour to get some activity in!

Pretty muddy on the incline but still a beautiful little hike. The table was snow covered and offered very nice scenery. So quiet up there as there were only a few others.

Great trail but with the crazy amount of snow we’ve got recently the trails is very muddy. The top layer looks dry which is deceiving. It’s very slick. Nice out and back trail for a quick hike

Nice quick hike. Trail completely dry on 26 Jan. Great views of Golden and the surrounding area. We hiked up to the Castle Rock and was met by an Open Space Ranger. She told us that the rock is private property owned by Bear Creek Developers and that we were trespassing. She mentioned that they are working on signage and that the trail from the table to the rock would be closed soon. Keep an eye on others posting as to when they place signage. Currently no signage indicating private property.
