Little bit of a scramble to the top of the Mesa but great views of Golden and Denver (and the backside of the Coors factory if you’re into that sorta thing. A lot of wildflowers!

Awesome to do early in the am to beat the heat. Steep to start but then it’s gets very flat and lovely. Do be careful! We saw a rattlesnake on the trail and heard about another on the trail as well.

Easy hike up until the last quarter mile which requires some scrambling over loose rocks and little footing. Difficult with kids on your back. Otherwise great views up to the overlook of Golden.

Short but steep with nice views of Golden. Trail is narrow so difficult to pass others. Parking is on the street in the neighborhood.

Short, easier trail close to town. Several trails to choose from once you reach the top to lengthen a hike out but some that are marked as trails on the map are on private property.

About one mile nearly straight up, very narrow trail. Rocky in places, have to scramble once right near the top. Wear good shoes.

It was a nice warm day but not too sunny, so this area was great. There were no shaded areas but some rocks to get out of some mountain bikers way. Looked scary to try to bike this trail but we enjoyed it on foot!

Quick, easy trail. Little windy today but hardly anyone on the trail.

Great out and back trail that looks over Denver. Loop back around to the right on the way back to the Coors overlook

Awesome quick hike! Maybe my new fave. Very dry right now no snow and only a few little muddy spots. Could have managed in sneakers just fine.

Muddy today but of the way down it was drying up. Got on the top and saw the Thunderbirds go by. A lot of people but talked with a few people and said it was uncommon. Good views of Golden and Denver. Only one short “technical” part towards the top. Probably wouldn’t have been bad if it wasn’t so muddy.

Hiked this over the weekend and loved it! Trail is in good shape and mostly dry, with only a few muddy patches. The top is wide and flat and offers beautiful 360-degree views. Wasn’t crowded the morning we went.

Nice easy short loop. Nice view of Denver at 0.9 miles. Dry today, not crowded.

Usually a good quick hike. Expect plenty of fresh wet mud, spikes help but plan on getting a muddy and maybe taking a spill but snow patches around to wash up. I had a lot more fun than the better half. We regretfully made a loop should’ve gone out n back. Bring extra shoes and towel for the car. Don’t forget cold one for the view and enjoy it while you can
